Joey Vera left Mercyful Fate and was replaced by Becky Baldwin.    Founding member Phil Demmel departs Vio-Lence      The big four of German thrash, Kreator, Sodom, Tankard and Destruction stood on the same   stage together for the first time ever.    Slayer reformed and played their first show since 2019.   Drummer Nicko McBrain announced his retirement from touring with Iron Maiden. British   Lion's Simon Dawson was chosen as his replacement.
