| Black Sabbath reunites with Ozzy Osbourne at Live Aid for the first time since the late 70's. Dee Snider testifies in court about rock censorship. Rock in Rio was held for the first time featuring Queen, AC/DC, Ozzy Osbourne and Iron Maiden. Possessed released Seven Churches which is generally seen as the first death metal album. The NWOBHM movement was more or less dead by 1985. The PMRC hearings took place in order to censor heavy metal music. Combat Tour Live: The Ultimate Revenge VHS was released. Documenting the tour featuring Slayer, Venom, and Exodus. |
