Black Metal was reaching it's peak of popularity with the releases of Darkthrone's
Transilvanian Hunger, Burzum's Hvis Lyset Tar Oss, Emperor's In The Nightside Eclipse,
Gorgoroth's Pentagram and Mayhem's De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas.

Burzum's Varg Vikernes was found guilty of burning down the Holmenkollen church in Oslo,
Norway.
