Korn creates Nu Metal with their self-titled debut album.   Kurt Cobain committed suicide.      Metallica, Danzig and Suicidal Tendencies went on a U.S. tour together.   Pantera reached the #1 spot on the Billboards list. The most extreme album to do so.   Pop-Punk got it's revival in the wake of the dying grunge genre with releases from Green   Day (Dookie) and The Offspring (Smash)   Cannibal Corpse appeared in Jim Carrey's movie 'The Pet Detective'.
